Paying tribute to Michael Jordan's college alma mater, the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG 'University Blue' features a University of North Carolina look. Built entirely with leather, the shoe's upper appears in a mix of white and University Blue, contrasted by black on the Swoosh, collar, laces and 'Wings' logo. Perforations on the toe box provide breathability, while underfoot, the Air midsole gives way to a concentric outsole with a brighter shade of blue.
The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG 'Gym Red' remixes an OG colorway with this June 2019 release. The shoe's leather construction appears in a familiar mix of black, white and Gym Red, with the latter color on the collar and Swoosh branding. Perforations on the toe box provide breathability, while underfoot, a Sail midsole provides Air cushioning. The black outsole sports a concentric pattern for traction.
Arriving without an ounce of color, the completely greyscale iteration opts for a staple white leather base at the toe and mid-panel. Collars, like the eyestay and toe overlays, arrive in the titular shade, before reverting back to white at the ankle flap. Branding throughout the pair arrives in bold black, with Checks, Wings, and tongue branding all featuring the finish, all of which pop off a bright white base. The sole unit follows suit, with a black rubber tread applied to staple white midsoles to complete the release.
The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG 'Light Smoke Grey' emerges with a neutral look and a vibrant accent. The shoe's upper features a white leather base overlaid by Light Smoke Grey suede, with black contrast on the Swoosh, collar, laces and tongue tag. The collar flap highlights the look in Varsity Red, matched by the tongue branding, while an Air midsole and concentric outsole support the fit underfoot.
the glossy materials dress a bright, aqua blue, contrasting the white shades that sit directly underneath. Adjacent, the midsole, tongue, laces, and Wings insignia match said neutral, while the outsole and lining opt for gum bottoms and the titular “Barcelona” motif, respectively. And though the pair as a whole is consistent in design from left to right, the latter pattern alternates between two different variations.
Offered in grade school sizing, the Air Jordan 1 Mid ‘Pollen’ showcases familiar color blocking on a classic silhouette modeled after the foundational high-top that started it all. Smooth leather is utilized on the upper, which combines a crisp white base with black overlays at the forefoot and heel. Contrasting hits of yellow settle on the padded collar and signature Swoosh. Additional branding elements include a Jumpman icon on the woven tongue tag and a Wings logo imprinted on the lateral ankle. The mid-top sits on a white and black rubber cupsole with encapsulated Nike Air cushioning in the heel.
Reminiscent of a recently-surfaced Air Jordan 1 Mid, “colorless” smooth leather sets the stage for a handful of dark-colored overlays. Profile swooshes and tongues deviate from their surroundings in “Black,” while Jumpman and “Wings” insignias on the heel revert to a contrasting “White” hue. Underfoot, midsoles are complemented by made-for-basketball tread dipped in the titular dark teal color.
