The Adidas Samba OG Lucid Pink Womens is just another example of how when the source material is strong enough, almost any design can find success in the streetwear space. Dropping exclusively in women’s sizes this pair offers up a modern take on the iconic Samba that debuted back in the 1950s. The shoe’s unmistakably silhouette remains largely unchanged. The upper is comprised of off-white suede and leather panels that due to the materials themselves give off a slight two-tone aesthetic, with the real centrepiece of the design coming from the pink three-stripes that bring a pop of colour to this otherwise understated look. Underneath, a brown rubber outsole gives some welcome contrast, while some finishing touches appear by way of gold foil embossing of the signature SAMBA name.
